The layers of birdsong in my garden at this time of year are extraordinary – from the yaffle to the yellowhammers to the song thrush, blackbirds and greenfinches and so many more in between. I will be listening out for these as well as skylarks, buzzards, lapwings and blackcaps as I make my way up through the country. Meet a fellow enthusiastic birder Suzy who interviewed me.

Thanks too to the RSPB for their advice and guidance on what to listen for during my epic walk
