Big Blind Walk Day 7 – I couldn’t resist it! Memories of beautiful silences in deep Devon countryside. Terracotta coloured ploughed fields, picturesque villages and churches and huge hills to overcome. Preparing to head into Somerset 6 May.

I must pay tribute to my old friend Richard W. who leaves the Big Blind Walk after guiding me brilliantly over and around every obstacle in nearly 150 miles. His map reading, road sense and ability to ignore extremely painful feet at times has set the bar very high indeed for other guides joining me in future!
