We set off from Bridgenorth at 0900 and headed towards Ironbridge. Wonderful vistas of rolling farmland and the winding River Severn, hawthorn in blossom, countless sheep and woodland carpeted by wild garlic and bluebells. We passed through historic villages and spotted some stunning examples of Elizabethan, Regency and Queen Anne architecture. I found a mighty English oak to hug too! Arrived at the very modern sports complex in Shrewsbury around 5.30pm.
