A huge thank you to the Royal British Legion Scotland for not only supporting the Big Blind Walk and guiding me so expertly over 22 miles from Fort William to South Laggan but also giving me such a fascinating insight into the history of the commandoes’ training regime up here during WW2.

It was a day of 2 halves – flat walking along the extraordinary Victorian engineering feat that is the Caledonian Canal and then rougher walking with different gradients as we skirted various beautiful lochs and woodland.
